My First Skullcandy Student Advertisement

I was given the challenge to create a product that had a conceptual feel to it. I am a long time fan of the Skullcandy headphones, so I decided to make a skullcandy student advertisement for it. I took several shots using a speedlight, but in the end I decided to use the photos with natural light because my skullcandy student advertisement looked better. Once I took the photo using a reflector to get more light, I put it into Photoshop. I downloaded a set of brushes to use in my skullcandy student advertisement. I placed a gradient layer on top of my image and then using a mask I brushed away part of the grey gradient layer until the face was fully visible. I then blended my model into the skullcandy student advertisement by using SCREEN BLENDING OPTION and putting in a blue background layer. I then added text next to him using the fonts ROCK ON and American Captain. I then darkened my models face using the burn tool and adjusting the contrast. My ending results for my Skullcandy student advertisement are below. Another shout out to MIR ROM who let me download his brushes. Here is a link to his YOUTUBE channel.
